130Across the inlet at the end of Long Beach Island, you can see Atlantic City on a clear day.

The southern end of Long Beach Island below Holgate and Beach Haven Inlet is home to the Edwin B. Forsythe National Wildlife Refuge. This two and one-half mile stretch of beach and marshland is closed to visitors during the summer season to protect the animals and environment. However, many people enjoy the natural surroundings during the late Fall through early Spring.
